GoldCoast Golf Resort comprises the GoldCoast Golf Club, GoldCoast Golf Hotel & Leisure centre plus 55 self catering cottages, villas and lodges.
Goldcoast Golf Club, the original course dates back to 1939, when it was the only 9-hole course serving the Dungarvan area for nearly 70 years from the late 1930’s up to the mid 1990’s.
The old and the newer holes are now cleverly integrated and what greets golfers now is a truly magnificent par 72, 18-hole championship length golf course that will test all levels of golfers from a variety of different tee positions.
The course is surrounded on three sides by the Atlantic ocean and Dungarvan Bay and retains some links characteristics but is more correctly described as a parkland by the Sea course. The location is somewhat unique with unrivalled panoramic scenery of sea and mountain.
The sea comes into play on several holes with the 7th and 15th holes having been compared to holes in Cyprus Point when golfers are faced with shots over the inlet to the safe haven of land and beyond.
As regards facilities, GoldCoast Golf Resort is well served.
A Putting green, practice range and driving nets are available.
Electric buggies, trollies, club hire are all available
On site is GoldCoast Golf Hotel, leisure Centre and self catering holiday homes.
The 37 bedroomed hotel is three star and the bunker bar serves as the clubhouse bar as well, where food is served daily from either a carvery menu or golfers can have access to the Bay restaurant as well.
