Opened in the summer of 2004 the two new courses, Ribagolfe 1 and 2, are located near Santo Estevao about 30 minutes drive east of Lisbon city centre. Both courses are set within a forest of cork oak trees and the design makes full use of the sweeping undulations of the site, providing many spectacular golf holes across valleys and lakes. At 6260 metres, par 72, Ribagolfe 2 has been designed as a high quality private members course and, like its sister course, winds its way through a forest of cork oaks, although the fairways are generally wider.
